On 12 June 2025, the European Digital Learning Network ETS (DLEARN) successfully hosted the 5th Multiplier Event of the EthAI Tour project in Pontedera, Italy, at the premises of its local partner ARNERA. The event, titled “Uso etico dell'Intelligenza Artificiale (AI) e dei dati nel settore del Turismo”, brought together 40 participants, including VET trainers, learners. The session focused on reinforcing the project’s mission to ensure the ethical use of artificial intelligence and data in the tourism sector, while supporting the digital transformation of vocational education and training (VET) systems.
The event was facilitated by Mr. Stefano Carboni, while Mr. Gianluca Coppola, President of DLEARN, joined remotely to deliver opening remarks and an overview of the EthAI Tour initiative. The core objectives of the session included:
Presenting the EthAI Tour project’s methodology, including its ontology and alignment with European ethical standards in AI.
Introducing the structure of the three e-learning modules:
- Digitalisation in Tourism
- Artificial Intelligence in Tourism
- Ethical AI in Tourism
Encouraging reflection and dialogue on ethical concerns, digital skills gaps, and responsible AI usage in tourism contexts.
Participants engaged in a hands-on workshop and discussion that examined:
- Tools and AI applications currently used in the tourism sector.

Attendees appreciated the clarity and accessibility of the training materials and acknowledged the importance of ethics in digital innovation, particularly within client-facing and data-driven sectors like tourism.
