Irida has an ample experience as a project coordinator in the EU and the USA. She has studied and worked in seven different countries in three different continents. This has made her knowledgeable about multiple problems of the different societies she has been living in.

The Institute of Tourism Studies, specialising in vocational higher education in Tourism and Hospitality, recognises the importance of AI in the travel and tourism sector. Ongoing research initiatives are aimed at enhancing trainers’ expertise in the ethical and lawful use of AI.
Mikel Aldalur is currently a teacher at Cebanc, having previously worked as an Artificial Intelligence researcher. In that role, his research focused on AI, specifically the development of user interface applications for the visual validation of computer vision AI models and contributions to AI certification research. Mikel holds a Master's degree in Artificial Intelligence, and his key technical skills include C++, Python, AI frameworks (Tensorflow, Pytorch, Keras), and ROS development, a framework for autonomous systems. He is motivated to continuously develop his skills in his areas of interest: automation, autonomous systems, and software development.
His main role is to consolidate the existing Sustainable Tourism Department which currently runs a Bachelor Degree in Dive Safety Management and a Diploma in Climate Friendly Travel, the former being run in blended learning mode, whereas the latter is fully online. He has a PhD from the University of Leeds and is an active PADI Staff Instructor. His research interests are: sustainable tourism, niche tourism, use of social media in tourism, blended learning and assessment in higher education, learning outcomes design and implementation, intercultural competence as a skill set within tourism education.
